FIG&OLIVE

Hubby is back home and we wanted to give a try to Fig&Olive(cuisine from Riviera and coastal regions of South France , Italy& Spain) last night! Great place ! I loved the fact that the food is prepeared using olive oil. Especially if you are a olive oil lover like me , It is a must try!!! They have about 25 different kinds of olive oil from all around world. 

We have tried light, medium,and heavy versions of olive oil from Spain.The three crostinis are soo delish and popular.

The restaurant is known for their three crostinis, lamb chops, seabass...

Possible to see celebrities like Hillary Duff, Jennifer Aniston , Halle Berry

Minik Yüzücülerimiz Yarislarda.../ Little Swimmers Contest

2006-2007 dogumlu minik yuzuculerimiz Burhan Felek yüzme havuzunda bu haftasonu  23 Nisan senlikleri kapsaminda 7-8 yas yuzuculeri icin ilerideki  yaslarda katilacaklari yarislara tesvik amaciyla duzenlenen yarislarda yer aldilar. Her katilan yuzucuye katilim sertifikasinin verildigi bu yaris,  minik sporcularimiz icin buyuk bir tecrube oldu. Ben ve esim,Hidayet Turkoglu,  tum Hido yuzme ekibimizi ve sporcularimizi kutluyoruz :) 

Our little swimmers(age of 7-8) at Hidayet Turkoglu Aquatic Club participated in a contest in Istanbul Burhan Felek swimming pool inspiring  them for the future swimming races. All participants got their certificates at end of the contest. Congratulations to our coaches & little swimmers!

Beverly Hills Louis Vuitton Private Event

 

It was all about Louis Vuitton's new designer Nicolas Ghesquiere ( former Balenciaga designer )& his new collection in Beverly Hills  Louis Vuitton store today! I was invited to  this private event , had a chance to see this great collection and took many photos  for u!  The 2014 fall/ winter collection will launch on August  15! I really loved  every piece of it ! Let's see what u think:)

California Earthquakes

The very first big earthquake i have experienced was in 1999 in turkey. It was quite a scary and big eartquake 7.4 and it lasted 45 seconds! It took for a while for me to overcome my earthquake fear ( not totally gone, anyways) i have moved to USA two years later and had been living in cities where there were no shakes up untill my husband signed with Clippers! We partially moved to LA didnt wanna think about the eartquake fact in this city but here we go how you can't!!!! We had two , one 4.3 and the other one 5.1!!! I do not count the ones smaller than 3 because if we count there are about 15 of them happening each week!

I was of course  soo scared. Kids did not wake up, thank God!  

It has been quiet these days but you need to be prepeared if you live in city where eartquakes are part of life like LA. Los Angeles Clippers sent this big bucked full of survival supplies for 4 people !!! I highly recommend  to have one of these emergency supply kits home. I believe if something is meant to be, it will happen ! God forbid  , just in case  it is nice to have it somewhere  home !!!!

April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day

April 23 National Sovereigntyand Children's day was gifted  to Turkish children by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk , founder of rebuplic of Turkey. Sınce 1920 Children's day  is celebrated in Turkey with  ceremonies ın large stadiums  and festival parade where children from many other countries wear their traditional  costumes and perform theır traditional dances along with Turkish kids!  İt is a  national holiday and such a fun day  for kids all around country :))
